"Our troops are paying a very high price at his time in history." Our servicemen will not have to pay on a boat tour with Captain Judy Caseley while on military leave. Judy Caseley's boat tours are located on Chokoloskee Island, just a few miles from Everglades City.
Captain Judy Caseley enjoys volunteering in her community to help children and families and often wondered how she could help and support our brave men and women who are deployed in such places like Iraq and Afghanistan. She started researching through the internet and read about Captain John "GiddyUp" who met a U.S. Army soldier, Travis, while on a two week leave from Iraq. Travis conveyed his wish to Captain "GiddyUp" that he would just love to go on a fishing trip while home on leave before he had to return to Iraq. As a former United States Marine officer, it was a very easy decision for the Captain to offer a free trip. Following this trip that helped make a wish come true, Operation Open Arms came about through this one heart-filled guide. Captain "Giddyup" decided to contact other guides and restaurants to see if they would be willing to offer benefits to military members and the answers were positive.
Operation Open Arms collects no money, they are just a catalyst to help everyone connect. All that is asked is that you give something that you feel a military man or woman would enjoy while on a brief visit home. Captain Judy Caseley who not only loves where she lives, she loves what she does. She loves sharing the beauty and mystique of the Florida Everglades and Ten Thousand Islands whether it be sightseeing, bird watching, sharing history, shelling on remote beaches, manatee and dolphin watching, or simply relaxing. Captain Judy Caseley has such a diverse menu of charter boat services, she knew right away that she had found something "just perfect" to offer our servicemen on leave. She also instantly felt that she had found a way that she could make a difference, putting a smile on a visiting military member by giving them a day on the water with a customized boat tour. Choosing individualized activities on the boat tour, she hopes to free the minds of our military from the life altering experiences they have had to endure to serve our country. . .whether a moment, an hour, or the whole trip out. The Everglades to Captain Judy Caseley is such a positive and powerful life altering experience, she wants to share this window of treasures she sees with the real jewels that serve our country.
